Humans need social connection.

Subconsciously, your nervous system is always looking for cues of safety from other people through things like body language, facial expression or tone of voice.

But if you have a harder time interpreting these cues of safety due to past experiences or the way you take in information, your brain and body can misinterpret these cues, limiting your ability to connect in a meaningful way.

How does the SSP work?

Through the specially filtered music, the SSP sends cues of safety to your nervous system, building the foundation for awareness, embodiment and resilience.

It works best in conjunction with other therapeutic models

  • Neurodevelopmental treatment, such as occupational therapy, play therapy and sensory integration therapy

  • Other forms of mental health and trauma therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing® (SE™), Inquiry and Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other forms of talk therapy (e.g. DBT, MCBT, etc.)

Your SSP Provider

Jaspreet Chopra

Jaspreet is a certified Parent Coach, a Trauma informed Practitioner and Safe and Sound Protocol provider. She believes that trauma can make people stuck in states stopping them from taking action and making changes. Although mindset can make a huge difference, but for many people who suffer from diagnosed,  undiagnosed, unspoken trauma, that alone is not enough. It needs a little push, a little nudge and whole lot of support. Jaspreet uses SSP to help her clients (adults and children) to break away from fight/flight/freeze or shutdown states towards a state of open-ness, social engagement and joy.

She understands that every person is unique, with a unique history, unique experience and a unique nervous system needing a unique intervention. She uses Inquiry, Brainspotting, Inner Child healing, and support of many other modalities for a client's healing.

An overview of how your SSP journey with Jaspreet will look like

Step 1 - We will first meet on a zoom call to understand how SSP can benefit you or your loved one and to get more clarity on any questions you might have.

Step 2 - Once you decide to receive SSP you may choose a payment plan that works best for you. If you are looking at SSP for your child, it is always recommended for the parent/caregiving adult to go through this program first to receive maximum benefits of SSP.

Step 3 - 2 virtual sessions on Psychoeducation and Nervous System Mapping

Step 4 - Assessments and Program planning by your provider

Step 5 - Listening begins through Unyte App with your provider available with you on a virtual call. During listening sessions your SSP provider will be combining various modalities as they deem necessary to support you in creating new neural pathways for healing and forming new healthy patterns for long lasting change. If you already have a therapist/healer, SSP can still benefit you in your healing journey.

The essence of this listening intervention is not who finishes first or how fast it is finished, it is going slow for the repair to be absorbed. A typical listening to 1 round of SSP, i.e. 5 hour of SSP core can typically take from 10 days upto 6 months or more, because each nervous system is unique, has unique experience, has unique trauma history and might be in a unique space and time.

In between your listening sessions your provider will be there to support you through your experience and any dysregulation that might appear.

For more information on how the sessions or support may look like, reach out to us on support@themindfulfamily.in or schedule a call here.
